Welcome to Touro College’s Career Services Website!
Our overriding objective in Career Services is to prepare our students to enter their careers, to identify employers who want to hire our students and to create the venues to bring students and employers together. We also have a commitment to provide continuing career support to Touro alumni.
This is very important work and we cannot do it alone! Just like it is said that “it takes a village to raise a child,” so does it take a dedicated community of interested parties to prepare a student to launch a career. Each party needs to do their part. Faculty and staff can contribute by using their network contacts to identify internships and open positions, and by sharing with students their observations and work experiences. Alumni can make a valuable contribution by mentoring students, by notifying Career Services of open positions in their organizations and by encouraging their employers to participate in Touro’s recruiting efforts via Career Fairs and on-campus interviewing. The employers’ role is to make available internships and full- and part-time entry-level work opportunities. Parents have a multi-faceted support role – financial, morale and encouragement. The student’s role is to proactively move toward their career goals, taking full advantage of all the support opportunities. All of us must work together to provide a career launching platform that will support our protégés search for a meaningful career.
