Abe Melamed, JD

Abe Melamed holds a B.A. cum laude from Touro College, and a J.D. degree from Cardozo Law School, where he was an associate editor of the Journal of Law and Gender.  He teaches Introduction to American Politics and Introduction to American Law.

Mr. Melamed currently works as the staff attorney for the public interest organization NOSSCR (National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives), which promotes and protects the interests of social security claimants and representatives throughout the country.  Mr. Melamed has published in the areas of constitutional law, social security law, and general litigation in the UCLA Women’s Law Journal, the New York Law Journal, and the Social Security Forum.  Mr. Melamed is also co-founder of the N.Y. based incubator L & M Innovations and can be reached at abraham.melamed@touro.edu
