Chana Shaffer-Minkowitz, JD

Adjunct Faculty

Chana Shaffer-Minkowitz holds a B.A. summa cum laude from Touro College, where she founded the Touro Debate Team and Political Science Society. She also holds a J.D. from Cardozo Law School. Ms. Shaffer-Minkowitz worked at a Manhattan class action law firm before deciding to turn her career toward academia. She teaches Introduction to American Politics, Introduction to American Law, Political Communications, and Constitutional Law.

Ms. Shaffer has also worked extensively in social services, serving as associate director of public relations at a children’s learning center and as director of special programming at a center for lifelong learning. She has also been an adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City, and can be reached at
