From the office of the Dean of the Graduate School of Psychology

Dr. Richard WaxmanThe mission of the Touro College Graduate School of Psychology is to provide a quality educational experience for our students, the aim of which is to foster high professional expectations and skills to effectuate success in their chosen profession. The academic experience at the Graduate School of Psychology is designed to provide our students with an integrated educational experience of applied skills and contemporary models of service, complemented by professional and ethical expectations. These principles are evident in our program offerings including School Psychology, Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. Our programs are designed to provide students with the hands-on training necessary for them to acquire the highest degree of expertise in their fields. Students admitted to our programs are provided with a challenging curriculum taught by supportive and highly professional faculty several of which have achieved roles of leadership and national recognition. The primary objective of our faculty is to foster academic achievement and applied skills within our students so that they may achieve their highest level of professional excellence. As a demonstration of our success, many of our graduates have achieved prominence in their fields and their accomplishments are testimony to the quality of our programs.
