Admission Requirements (same for both certificates)
 
  • A brief interview and a sample essay with Dr. Nilda Soto Ruiz, Program Chair.
  • Official transcripts of your undergraduate and/or graduate Studies.
    (Minimum grade point average of 3.0)
  • Copy of your provisional or initial NYS certification in Education (Any subject area).
  • Application for admission.
  • Immunization record.
  • Two letters of reference from employers and/or professors.
  • Personal statement of your goals and objectives (According to application guidelines).
  • One sample of representative academic work selected by the applicant (i.e., undergraduate/graduate writing project or research essay)
