Description of Bilingual Advanced Certificate Program
in Pupil Personnel Services

 

The Program provides students with the opportunity to pursue the certificate in bilingual Pupil Personnel Services. This Program is available as a continuing education program for qualified professionals in Pupil Personnel Services with appropriate credentials. The program consists of 12 semester hours of required courses inclusive of a field experience.

In order for students to obtain the bilingual certification, they have to pass a State language proficiency exam. The College will provide information and consultation regarding the language exam, but it is the students' responsibility to pass an exam at any of the existing State-approved language assessment centers.

The Program provides students with the opportunity to pursue the advance certificate in bilingual special education and speech. This Program is available as a continuing education program for qualified teachers with appropriate credentials. The program consists of 15 semester hours of required courses inclusive of a field experience.

The U.S Department of Education requires the College provide the following information about each of our programs that lead to gainful employment in a recognized profession.
