The field of Instructional Technology employs a combination of human and technological resources to bring about more effective instruction. Each aspect of the field is unique in its contribution to the teaching-learning process.

 

Career Opportunities

The Master of Science in Instructional Technology program is directed toward preparing students to function in a variety of roles to be performed in a broad range of settings, including:

- Computer Teacher
- Technology Coordinator
- Instructional design and development
- Staff Developer
- Instructional Technologist
- Instructional delivery systems and implementation
- Assessment, evaluation, and research
- Materials and media development/production
- Program management and organizational development
- Emerging technologies

Such roles are typically found in business and industry, health institutions, higher education, government, and public and private K-12 education.
