Applicants for admission to this pro­gram will be evaluated according to the criteria described below. These criteria will be applied flexibly provided there is alternative evidence of apti­tude for graduate study. The official admission criteria are as follows:

1 . Completion of a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an accredited academic institution

2 . A minimum undergraduate and graduate grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4-point scale)

3 . Application for admission to the Graduate Division of the Mental Health Counseling

4 . An interview by a faculty committee

5. Two letters of reference from employers and/or professors

6 . Personal statement of the applicant’s goals and objectives
