ATTENTION LONG ISLAND STUDENTS:

For those students who are inconvenienced by coming to NYC to register for courses and/or internships. 
Professor Shapiro will be appearing at the LONG ISLAND BAYSHORE CAMPUS to register students:

SPRING 2009 REGISTRATION:

The spring registration period
Begins: Monday October 27th, 2008
Ends: Tuesday December 30th 2008

Students may register over the phone:
Monday through Thursdays 10:00 am- 4:30 pm

Our phone lines will be extremely busy, if you are unable to reach an advisor please be patient and call back at a later time. 

Students may also register in person at our office:
During schedules office hours Monday through Thursday 9:30 am- 5:00 pm
43 West 23rd Street Btw. 5th and 6th Avenues
3rd Floor Room 309 or Room 312

Note:  There is no winter break semester, nor is there a Spring I and Spring II semester.  This is the only schedule that will be released until the Summer 2009 semester.

TUTION FEES:

As of the Spring 2009 semester tuition will be raised $100.00 per course.
Total course fee: $1,150.00
Registration fee: $100.00 per semester

ATTENTION INTERNS:

ALL EDU 697, EDU 698 SBL and EDU 698 SDL interns must register in person for the internship and only one additional course at 43 West 23rd Room 312. Interns may not register for their additional course separately over the phone.
 
ALL EDU 698 SDL Students: you can not register without a completed case-study proposal form, which was included in your 697 orientation packet.  Students who do not have a case-study proposal will be denied registration, and will be asked to return until one is completed.

NEW GRADUATION REQUIREMENT:

All EDU 698 interns will be required to fill out their graduation forms in our office during registration for their internship.  All graduation forms and instructions can be found under the School Leadership “Graduation tab,” in Word document format.

 

Please note that students who attend a class for which they are not officially registered will not receive credit for that class. In addition they will not receive a refund. Furthermore, students who unofficially transfer from one section of a course to another or from one course to another similarly will not receive credit for the course for which they are  not registered and will not receive a refund.
 
All students (including students with financial aid) must leave a deposit when registering for classes. Classes will not be reserved or held for student without a deposit. No exceptions will be permitted.
 
ABSENCES:
Evening courses: One absence is permitted with a make-up assignment at the discretion of the professor.  If a student is absent a second time, the student will be required to drop the course. 
Weekend courses: Attendance is required at all sessions.  If a student is absent once, the student will be required to drop the course.
Summer courses (day sessions): If a student is absent once, the student will be required to drop the course.
 
Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens Students
  • Students should register for all of their courses at once.
  • Telephone registration:
    Staff will be available to take your registration information Monday through Thursday, from 9:30 am to 4:30 PM. At 212-463-0400 ext 796, 292 or 279.
    Please be prepared for long waiting times and difficulties in getting through due to the possibility of multiple students calling.
    Please note: you must use a valid Master or Visa Card , the school does not accept any other credit cards.
  • In person registration: Please Note Our New Address
    Will be at 43 West 23rd Street, third floor,  room 309 and 312, between the hours of 10:00am to 5:00pm, bursar closes at 5:30pm.
 
Long Island Students
  • Students must mail in their Registration Forms prior to attending class. Students whose name do not appear on the official class roster will be asked to leave the class.
  • Students can register via the phone from 9:30am - 4:00pm. Call (212) 463-0400 ext. 796, 292 or 279.
    Please be prepared for long waiting times and difficulties in getting through due to the possibility of multiple students calling. You must have a valid credit card (Master or Visa Card, the school does not accept any other credit cards) and desired course number and section on hand for phone registration.
 
All Students
  • All classes are 3 credits each.
  • Classes dropped after the 1st Session will result in a 75% Tuition Refund.
  • Classes dropped after the 2nd Session will result in a 50% Tuition Refund.
  • Classes dropped after the 3rd Session will result in a Withdrawal with No Refund.
  • Sunday Classes (5 or 6 sessions) droped after the first session will result in a Withdrawal with No Refund.
