TESOL/BILINGUAL PROGRAMS ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCEDURES

Spring 2010 On-line registration will begin on November 9th, 2009, and end on January 4th 2010

IMPORTANT: TESOL students are allowed to take up to 15 credits online as part of the completion of the whole Program. Bilingual extension students can take up to 6 credits ONLY. If you go over the limit, you will be required to take additional credits in the regular classroom format.

• Login: type your ID number and Password (follow instructions carefully).
• Click on Course Search (make sure that you are using the Academic Year 2009-2010 Fall.  If needed, go to the “change term” tab to double check).
• Enter the Division: Graduate
• Click on Department: EDU/EDSE/or EDPS *(according to course code letters).
• Click on Course Number
• Find the classes that you are registering for and click Add (Make sure to follow the schedule of classes to see the correct section and to follow the courses required for TESOL/Bilingual Programs) * Sections: SL and MA (Manhattan), SA (Brooklyn), QA (Queens), LA (Bay Shore), and section OT (Online).

After following the steps above, a confirm screen should show. For additional courses repeat process.
Quickpay: To pay your bill, wait 2-3 business day to pay your balance.
IMPORTANT: It is your responsibility to make sure that you pay for the courses you are registering.
The following courses are the only ones available to you to register (if by any reason you register for any other course that is not part of your program you will be fully responsible for the appropriate fees and the course will not count towards your terminal degree).
Approved Courses: EdPs 620, EDSE 640, EDU 634, EDU 635, EDU 636, EDU 637, EDU 638, EDU 639, EdPs 671, EdPs 672, and EdPs 675.
All Fields of Supervised Experience Requires Chair’s Program Approval (In Person)
(EDU 678, EDU 679, SpEd 698, and Psy 698)

Bayshore Students should see Professor Joel Shapiro for approval. Professor Shapiro is in Room 111E, Thursdays from 12:00-5:00 PM at the Bayshore Campus.

           * All ITI students are not allowed to use the online registration module (See Programs’  
              Chair for Advisement and Registration)

• Registration: Current students, please be aware that you need to have a “ZERO” balance in your account in order to register. If you are receiving financial aid, make sure to check with the Financial Aid Office for funding availability. Technical difficulties with the Online Registration call extension: 5607 or 5608
• Reminder, if this is your last semester make sure to apply for graduation. The deadline is November 16, 2009.
