July 2005 - Dr. Srubshchik Presents at International Conference on Computing in Civil Engineering
Dr. Leonid Srubshchik, a member of the computer science faculty at Touro College,
presented his research on "Inverse Spectral Problems in Detection of the Defects and Heterogeneities of Civil Structures" during a Technical Session at the International Conference on Computing in Civil Engineering in Cancun, Mexico, held from July 11-15, '05. In his work, Dr. Srubshchik had collaborated with Dr. Issac Herskowitz at Touro College, and with colleagues in Russia: Edward Potetyunko, Ph.D., D.Sc., at Rostov State University, and Elena Shcherbak, Ph.D., at Rostov State Building University. The conference was sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers' Technical Council on Computing and Information Technology.

April 2005 - Dr. Srubshchik Presents at Structures Congress: Metropolis and Beyond
Dr. Leonid Srubshchik, a member of the computer science faculty at Touro College,
presented "Assessment of the Efficiency of the Structure Foundation by the Resonance Frequencies of Its Free Vibrations",
during a session on Advanced Analysis at the 2005 Structures Congress conference in New York City, which was held from April 20-24, '05. This work was done by Dr. Srubshchik in collaboration with colleagues at Rostov State University (in Russia), and at Touro. The conference was sponsored by the Structural Engineering Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers. The Congress was a tremendous success, with over 1100 people in attendance.
