Conference on Information Technology: October 2006
Dr. Issac Herskowitz, Dean of the Graduate School of Technology and Chief Academic Computing Officer at Touro College,
presented a session on "Information Literacy 101: Search and You Shall Find" during a session on Teaching and Learning at the
Conference on Information Technology in Charlotte, North Carolina, held from October 22-25, '06.

Mathematics Conference Presentation: July 2006

Dr. Samuel Kohn will be representing Touro College at the
3rd International Conference on the Teaching of Mathematics (ITCM) at the
Undergraduate Level in Istanbul, Turkey, on Sunday July 2, 2006 by
delivering a Paper on "Teaching Fractions to Developmental Students at
the College Level." ITCM is an international forum bringing together
leading pedagogues from around the world committed to developing and
implementing innovative methods in teaching undergraduate mathematics.

Engineering Conference Presentation: June 2006

Dr. Leonid Srubshchik, a member of the computer science faculty at Touro College,
presented his research on "Wind Response of the Spherical Structure with Film Cladding" during a session on Computing and Building Structures at the
Joint International Conference on Computing and Decision Making in Civil and Building Engineering in Montreal, Canada, held from June 14-16, '06. In his work, Dr. Srubshchik had collaborated with Dr. Issac Herskowitz at Touro College, and with colleagues, Dr. Edward Potetyunko and Angela Karsian, MS, at Rostov State University in Russia.
