Post-professional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Graduates its First
Class
Touro College's post-professional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
program will confer its first class of graduates with their DPT degrees
in September this year. The post-professional DPT program began
admitting students in January 2004. Designed for licensed physical
therapists to upgrade their academic qualifications to the DPT degree,
the post-professional DPT program can be customized to allow students to
specialize in the practice areas of orthopedics, neurology, geriatrics,
or administration. Unlike most other DPT programs across the country,
the Touro College post-professional DPT program curriculum thus prepares
its graduates for advanced clinical certification by the American Board
of Physical Therapy Specialists and leadership roles in the field of
physical therapy. Congratulations to the first 17 graduates of the DPT
Class of 2004!
