Touro College and the New York State Education Department (NYSED) worked intensively and cooperatively to build and initiate a process that allows Touro to provide NYSED with verified student records. As a result, NYSED has resumed issuing professional licenses and teacher certification to qualified Touro College graduates. Applicants are advised by NYSED that once transcripts are verified by Touro, applications are given special handling to speed licensure or certification. Touro will do all we can to assist our students and graduates in this process.
Please remember that the Office of the Registrar has established a hotline to promptly respond to any inquiries that students or their employers, potential employers, or any graduate or professional programs may have regarding student records. Please call 212-292-5540 or e-mail to registrarinfo@touro.edu if you have any questions.
We will continue to provide updates as further developments occur.
