Many resources on our Web site are preceded by a  icon.  These are proprietary (purchased or subscription) resources that are restricted to the Touro community.  They can be accessed on-campus from Touro computers, and off-campus with a remote Login & Password.

• Policies - Go to this page to read policies, procedures, and guidelines that are in effect at all the libraries.

• Updates - Go to this page for information on new resources and services and reports of our accomplishments.

• Newsletter - Go to this page to read The TCL Letter: A Newsletter of the Touro College Libraries.

• My Account - Use this to view material you have charged out of the libraries, their due dates, and any accrued fines, and to renew material online.  To use this feature, you must have a barcoded Touro ID or library card.

• Ask a Librarian  - If you need help at any time, please use this feature so reference assistance and research advice can be emailed to you.  You will receive a response within 24 hours, except over weekends, holidays, and intersessions.

• Login & Password Request - Go to this page, identify your Touro affiliation, and complete a form or contact a library to obtain the remote login and password needed to access proprietary (purchased or subscription) resources that are restricted to the Touro community.

• Request Material Online - Complete and submit forms to obtain material we do not have from other libraries and to request new acquisitions.

• Information Literacy - Go to this page for details on instructional services for faculty and independent opportunities for students.  Services for faculty include workshops, help with research assignments, library instruction, team teaching, electronic course reserves, and resources on plagiarism.  Opportunities for students include library instruction, research advice, reference assistance, and on-site computers and remote login and password.

• Guides & Tutorials - Go to this page for the latest update of this information sheet, a library guide on finding information at Touro College, a research and writing guide on how to do research and write term papers, subject-specific resource lists, and information literacy tutorials.

• Books & Media (Library Catalog) - Use this to:  (1) locate physical items (books and media) in our collections; (2) link to proprietary (purchased or subscription) and public domain (free) ebooks, etheses, and ejournal databases; (3) view your library account of charge outs, due dates, and fines, and to renewal your own material; (3) to identify required course reserve material in the libraries; and (4) request material checked out to other patrons or to have material transferred from one of our libraries to the one you use frequently.

• eBooks & eJournals (Central Search) - Use this to search all or selected proprietary (purchased or subscription) and some public domain (free) ebook and ejournal databases.

• Proprietary Databases - Use this to access a list of electronic resources purchased or subscribed to by the libraries.

 
• eBooks - Use this to access proprietary (purchased or subscription) ebooks and search ebook databases.

• eJournals - Use this to access proprietary (purchased or subscription) ejournals and search all or selected proprietary (purchased or subscription) and some public domain (free) ejournal databases.

• Print Journal Lists - Use this to identify the locations of subscriptions to print journals and backfiles on microfilm and CD-ROM.

• Bibliographies & Indexes - Use this to search for citations and abstracts of physical items (books and media) and resources on the Web (ebooks, etheses, ejournal databases, etc.).

• Gray Literature - Use this to search databases for documentary material not commercially published (business documents, case studies, clinical guidelines, conference papers, technical reports, working papers, etc.).

• Web & Search Sites - Peruse our directory for general and subject-specific proprietary (purchased or subscription) and quality hand-picked public domain (free) ready reference resources, subject directories, search engines, and metasites, portals, and gateways.

 
• Touro Digital Collections - Use this to access intellectual content created by the College community for internal and public use.

• EReserves - Go to this page to read required electronic course reserves selected by professors.  This material may include ebooks, ejournal articles, scanned material (book chapters, journal articles), and Web sites, documents, and databases.

• Resources A to Z - Peruse this list for all proprietary (purchased or subscription) and public domain (free) resources linked on our Virtual Library (www.touro.edu/library/).
