- Abstracts in Economic History - EH.Net (Economic History Services). Can search, browse over 300 citations & abstracts of dissertations, working & conference papers, journal articles, contributions to anthologies.
- AE Journal Article Search (AccountingEducation.com) - Can search citations & abstracts from over 50 accounting journals back to 1998.
- BibEc: Working Papers in Economics - Resources for Economists on the Internet (RFE). Can search citations of over 58,800 papers & 39,700 journal articles (not all free).
- CELCEE Database (Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Clearinghouse on Entrepreneurship Education) - Can search, browse citations & abstracts of journal articles, syllabi, conference papers, government publications, videos, books, software, etc., back to 1996.
- EconPapers - Resources for Economists on the Internet (RFE). Can search & download (pdf) over 125,600 working papers, 155,300 journal articles, 1,300 software items, 660 ebooks, 1,400 ebook chapter, etc.. Includes the former BibEc a& WoPEc.
- getCITED - Can search over 30,600 citations from 3.3 million books, journal articles, conference proceedings, working papers, reports, etc., from over 10,000 academic institutions. Requires free registration.
- Google Scholar - A ***** Google search engine. Can search scholarly literature (peer-reviewed articles, theses, books, preprints, abstracts, technical reports, etc.) in all broad areas of research from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities, etc.. Includes citations of older works & seminal papers not available online.
- HAPI Online - Web version of the Hispanic-American Periodicals Index. Can search 265,000 citations of articles (34,000 with links to full-text) in over 500 journals worldwide.
- IDEAS (Internet Documents in Economics Access Service) - Resources for Economists on the Internet (RFE). Can search over 290,000 papers; download (pdf) over 190,000 journal articles (not all free), etc..
- INFOSOURCE - Can search over 707000 citations & abstracts of articles, research reports, books on employee benefits. Requires free registration.
- IngentaConnect - Can search, browse over 20 million citations & abstracts of over 29,600 books, journal articles, conference proceedings, working papers, reports, etc. in 15 categories.
- ITC Trade Information Reference Centre - Has citations & abstracts of 1,100 ITC publications; 1,200 trade journals (550 with links), 1,800 serials, 7,000 books; 700 Web sites; 1,000 series of trade statistics; 300 documents on multilateral trade; 1,200 market reports; 700 quality control documents.
- Labordoc - Can search over 350,000 citations of print & ebooks, journal articles on the economic & social aspects of labor & employment & human rights worldwide.
- Law and Economics Journal Bibliographies - FindLaw. Can browse bibliography citations & tables of contents for 8 journals.
- NLM Gateway - U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM). Can simultaneously search MEDLINE/PubMed, TOXLINE Special, NLM Catalog, MedlinePlus, ClinicalTrials.gov, DIRLINE, Genetics Home Reference, Meeting Abstracts, HSRProj, OMIM, HSDB. Use any PMIDs (PubMed IDs) you find to search eJournals for articles.
OCLC FirstSearch - Search over 30 bibliographic, numeric, full-text specialty databases. Includes Arts & Humanities Citation Index, BasicBIOSIS, Biology Digest, Business and Management Practices, Clase and Periodica, Contemporary Women's Issues, Dissertation Abstracts Online, EconLit, GEOBASE, MDX Health Digest, Media Review Digest, PAIS International, ProceedingsFirst, SIRS Researcher, WorldCat, etc.. RESTRICTED to TC (NY) library PCs.
- Organized Crime in North America and the World: A Bibliography - Can browse citations (some links to full-text) of journal articles, conference papers, books, etc..
- PSYCLINE - Can search 2,000 ejournals (not all free) via Journal Locator & citations & abstracts via Article Locator.
Public Documents Masterfile - Search & browse citations of federal, state, local, international
public documents back over 200 years, Includes links to World Bank publications back to 1946. RESTRICTED to TC (NY).
- PubMed - U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM). Can search over 15 million MEDLINE citations & abstracts back to the mid-1950s, plus life sciences journals. Has links to sites with articles (PubMed Central (PMC), etc.). Use PMIDs (PubMed IDs) you find to search eJournals for articles.
- Rutgers Accounting Research Directory - RAW (Rutgers Accounting Web). Can search citations of articles in the Journal of Accounting Research, TAR, AOS, JAA, JAE, AUD, CAR, AHJ back to 1963. Requires free registration.
- SARA - Scholarly Articles Research Alerting - Can register for emailed tables of contents for Carfax, CRC Press, Frank Cass, Parthenon, Psychology Press, Routledge, Spon Press, Taylor & Francis journals.
- Scholarly Electronic Publishing Bibliography (SEPB) - Can search, browse, download (pdf) citations of English-language journal articles, books, proceedings, other printed & electronic sources, most back to 1990, on publishing on the Internet.
- Scirus - Search engine. Can search over 135 million science-related Web pages, including citations & abstracts of peer-reviewed journals, conferences, preprints, etc.. Covers economics, business, management; medicine; neuroscience; psychology; social & behaviorial sciences; etc..
