Pathology for Medical Students
| Course Description | The Summer Course in Pathology at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine provides a detailed overview of Pathology which is intended to serve professional degree candidates. The six week course will meet Monday - Thursday from 9 AM - 4 PM. This course will provide students with 1) the general understanding of basic pathophysiologic mechanisms that contribute to disease process, and 2) the clinical correlations (i.e. symptoms, diagnostic procedures, and laboratory tests) that are important in the diagnosis of a disorder. Student attendance, interaction, and participation are required. Interactive lectures and laboratory sessions incorporate histo-pathologic examination and case-based learning. Each topic block will conclude with an examination. |

| Prerequisites | Applicants should currently be enrolled in a Medical School (Osteopathic/Allopathic), Dental, Optometry, Pharmacy, or Podiatry School, or be a student in a graduate program. Students must submit the following: 1) a completed application for the Summer Program at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, 2) A transcript from current program, 3) a signature of approval from current course director, department chair or dean of students on the application form 4) a $50 application fee. |

| Application Deadlines | June 1st, 2011. A non-refundable processing fee of $50.00 must accompany the application. Full payment of tuition and the course fee is due before enrollment. |
