Tourocom's First Bi-annual Blood Drive
From 9-2:30 on Wednesday April 9 Tourocom students and faculty donated nearly 30 units of blood through a blood drive run by the New York Blood Center and coordinated by first year student Rebecca Kowaloff. The drive, Tourocom's first ever, was held in the OMM lab and also included a bone marrow donor sign up drive. Those who donated received a pair of New York Mets tickets as a thank-you gift from the Blood Center.

Tourocom's partnership with New York Blood Drive will be an ongoing one as plans are already in the works for a fall drive followed by another spring drive next year. This year's drive was successful considering the small student body and the hope is that participation next year will double and at least 50 units will be collected.
