New York, N.Y. – Alexander Mendelsohn, a junior at the Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School in Livingston, N.J., won first prize at the third annual Jacob Goldfinger Memorial Mathematics Contest at Touro’s Lander College for Men (LCM). The contest was created to broaden and enrich Yeshiva high school students' knowledge of mathematics and enhance their mathematical creativity.

Central Islip, NY – For the third consecutive year, Touro Law Center students have participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. Through the program, sponsored by the United States Internal Revenue Service and overseen by Bethpage Federal Credit Union, students were trained as volunteers to offer free tax help to low- to moderate-income community members who cannot prepare their own tax returns.
New York, New York – Erin Duffy, a newly-minted graduate of the inaugural class of the Touro College of Pharmacy in Harlem, has won the 2012 Corporate Member Scholarship Award from the New York State Council of Health-system Pharmacists (NYSCHP). Ms. Duffy, who recently received her PharmD (doctor of pharmacy) degree, won for an essay entitled, “The Drug Shortage Crisis and What Manufacturers Can Do To Alleviate the Crisis.”
