New York, N.Y. – Students from the Touro College of Pharmacy recently presented results of their research at the midyear clinical meeting of the American Society of Health-system Pharmacists (ASHP), held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
New York, N.Y. – The Touro-Harlem Medical Library has been awarded a federal grant to enhance student learning and community outreach through technology. The award, close to $10,000, will pay for 15 iPads and accessories for use by students and faculty at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (TouroCOM) and Touro College of Pharmacy, both in Harlem.

The two programs—both in Information Technology: Network Administration and Security—were recently approved by the State Education Department.

New York, N.Y. – Dec. 3, 2012 – Touro College Berlin is offering a summer program in Holocaust Studies for students enrolled at accredited colleges in the United States. The program, from June 23 to July 19, 2013, will provide students with a unique opportunity to study the Holocaust, Jewish culture and history while earning up to six college credits.
Central Islip, NY – New York Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman and Chief Administrative Judge A. Gail Prudenti recently announced their new initiative to mandate 50 hours of pro bono work for every law student in the state of New York and appointed Touro Law Professor and former Dean Lawrence Raful the Director of the New York State Courts’ Pro Bono Initiative. Professor Raful will oversee the program for the initial two years and rule on questions and requests for exceptions and approvals statewide.
