New York, N.Y. – The Class of 2013 at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (TouroCOM) participated in the symbolic rite of passage of donning white lab coats as they prepared to enter their final two years of medical school on clinical rotations. This ceremonial “cloaking” marks the student’s transition from the study of preclinical to clinical health sciences.

Pictured above on the left, Martin Levine, DO, MPH, FACOPFP, associate dean for educational development and president-elect of the American Osteopathic Association, introduced the event’s keynote speaker, Max Gomez, PhD.
