Touro College School of Health Sciences Speech-Language Pathology Clinic Supervisor Honored for Outstanding Service

New York, N.Y. – Phyllis Bernstein, M.S., CCC-SLP, a Clinic Supervisor at the Touro College School of Health Sciences’ Speech and Hearing Center, was recently honored with a certificate in recognition of her outstanding service, for “Teacher Appreciation Week.”
The certificate was presented last month at the College of Staten Island at an awards ceremony honoring outstanding teachers from across Staten Island, New York. In addition to her Touro duties, Mrs. Bernstein is the Speech-Language Pathologist (speech therapist) at P.S. 53 in Staten Island, where she provides therapy to children from grades K-5 with speech and language delays, as well as supervises graduate students completing externships in speech-language pathology. The event was sponsored by State Senator Andrew J. Lanza, who represents the 24th District, which encompasses most of Staten Island. As a Clinic Supervisor at Touro for the past five years, Mrs. Bernstein has assisted clients with a wide variety of speech, language and hearing disorders at the Touro College Speech and Hearing Center in the M.S. Program in Speech- Language Pathology, located in Brooklyn, N.Y.
