New York, N.Y. – Students from the Touro College of Pharmacy recently presented results of their research at the midyear clinical meeting of the American Society of Health-system Pharmacists (ASHP), held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Seventeen students participated in the presentations, which covered a wide range of topics -- from the importance of the pharmacists’ role in medication for menopause, to off-label use of a drug, to implementation of a website and social media for a state pharmacy organization. Pictured are the pharmacy students attending the conference and their faculty mentors at a reception sponsored by the seven schools of pharmacy in New York and the New York State Council of Health-system Pharmacists (NYSCHP). Both the ASHP and the NYSCHP are leading professional associations that represent pharmacists who practice in a variety of settings. Touro College of Pharmacy opened in Harlem in September 2008. The College offers increased educational opportunities – especially in Harlem – through programs in pharmacy education, research and scholarship, and through services to the community and the profession.
