Touro University Nevada celebrates spring commencement with more than 240 graduates
LAS VEGAS – More than 240 new health sciences and education professionals will cross the stage at the Touro University Nevada spring commencement ceremony Sunday, May 16 at the Paris Hotel. The graduates include Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine, occupational therapists, nurses and teachers.
Touro University Nevada enrolls more than 1,500 students in physician assistant studies, nursing, occupational therapy, education and physical therapy as well as osteopathic medicine. ￼
“With increasing health care needs due to an aging population as well as the recent health care reform bill, the Southern Nevada community and other areas throughout the United States will welcome the addition of Touro graduates in the health and wellness workforce. We are also pleased to celebrate the accomplishments of our School of Education students as they advance their careers with master’s degrees,” said Senior Provost and CEO Michael Harter, Ph.D. “They continue to learn so they can improve the education of our youth.”
