Ceremony Marks Fifth Anniversary.

LAS VEGAS – Touro University Nevada will hold its winter commencement ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. in the Bally’s Event Center.

Touro University Nevada is proud once again to make health care history as new professionals cross the stage at the winter commencement. The graduates include physician assistants, nurses and teachers. This year also marks the fifth anniversary of the private, non-profit institution.

Touro University Nevada has grown nearly 1,600 percent since opening its doors in 2004 with 78 medical students. Today the university enrolls more than 1,500 students in physician assistant studies, nursing, occupational therapy, education and physical therapy as well as osteopathic medicine. Touro’s physician assistant studies and occupational therapy programs are the first of their kind in Nevada.

“Over the past five years, Touro has provided quality education for health care and education professionals. We will continue to evolve with the community for many more years to come,” said Senior Provost & CEO, Michael Harter, Ph.D. “We are so proud to have such talented health care and education professionals walking the stage at the winter commencement ceremony.”
