Touro University Nevada welcomes students at White Coat Ceremony
Las Vegas – Touro University Nevada will hold its White Coat Ceremony on Sunday, August 26 at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino. The ceremony will be held in the Pavilion Ballroom at 3 p.m.
The TUN White Coat Ceremony was developed to celebrate the symbolic beginning of the journey of students in osteopathic medicine, physician assistant studies and physical therapy. Faculty mentors and administrators welcome the students as they accept the professional responsibilities inherent in their relationship with patients.
The ceremony will include students from the Osteopathic Medicine Class of 2016, the Physical Therapy Class of 2015 and the Physician Assistant Studies Class of 2014. “The White Coat ceremony is a tradition for our students that symbolizes the commitment they are making to the health care profession,” said Senior Provost and CEO Michael Harter, Ph.D. “These outstanding scholars are joining one of Nevada’s leading health education institutions and will become a part of the legacy of alumni from Touro who are making an important difference on the quality of health care in Nevada.”
