"It Has Been An Honor"
Dr. Michael Harter Announces His Retirement and Touro University Says Goodbye to a Great Leader
Dr. Michael Harter, Senior Provost and CEO of Touro University, announced his retirement earlier this year and last week was honored at a special banquet by Dr. Kadish and the Touro College Board of Trustees for his commitment and accomplishments.
"Touro University Nevada and other communities across the country have benefitted from the services delivered by graduates of Touro University Nevada. I anticipate that Touro University Nevada will continue to be a resource in addressing Nevada’s healthcare and educational needs," Dr. Harter said. "It has been an honor to be a part of the establishment and growth of Touro University Nevada.”
Joining Touro University Nevada at its inception in 2004, Dr. Harter has exercised a leadership role in creating six new schools in a five year period. In 2008 he was named Senior Provost and Chief Executive Officer of the Western Division, to head the Nevada and California campuses. Dr. Harter’s leadership has been instrumental in establishing both campuses as effective operation in health sciences and education.
