Vice President Tito Guerrero of Middle States Visits Touro College
Every ten years the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) conducts a major accreditation review of universities and colleges in its region.
Touro College recently began preparations for its 2015 decennial review. A Self-Study Steering Committee was formed, chaired by Vice President Robert Goldschmidt, the institution’s accreditation liaison.
Dr. Tito Guerrero, Vice President of the MSCHE, conducted a one day visit to Touro yesterday and was extremely impressed with the plan presented to him for Touro’s internal review. Dr. Guerrero, the former president of three institutions in Texas, Colorado, and Massachusetts, met with President Alan Kadish, the Board of Trustees, the Steering Committee, faculty, and students in a jam-packed day, marking the end of phase one of the Touro reaccreditation process.
