Central Islip, NY – Touro Law Center Dean Patricia Salkin is pleased to announce several new named and endowed scholarships for students including the Bethpage Federal Credit Union Scholarship funded by the Heart of Bethpage Charitable Giving Program, the Mario and Lina Capobianco Scholarship funded by the Capobianco family, the Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone, LLP Scholarship, the Posner & Gaier Scholarship, and the Stephanie Estevez ’00 Memorial Scholarship. Additionally, a new $100,000 scholarship has been established from the Claire and Samuel Mozel Charitable Trust. These scholarships, totaling $225,000, will be awarded to students based on individual criteria set by the donors.

New York, N.Y. - Dr. Roslyn Sofer, Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Touro College School of Health Sciences (SHS), was a recent recipient of the 2015 Dr. Marilyn Moffat Award for Distinguished Service. The award recognizes members of the New York Physical Therapy Association (NYPTA) who have made an outstanding contribution, and demonstrated consistent service to the physical therapy (PT) profession. It is the highest award given by the NYPTA.
