New York, N.Y. — Dr. Henry Cohen of Woodmere, New York, was named Dean of the Touro College of Pharmacy (TCOP), Touro President Dr. Alan Kadish announced today.  Dr. Cohen, who will assume his new role on January 1, 2016 and will serve Touro in a consultant capacity until then, has had a distinguished career in pharmacy. Currently Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Long Island University Pharmacy, Chief Pharmacy Officer for the Department of Pharmacy and Director of Pharmacy Residency Programs at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, Dr. Cohen established one of the premier clinical pharmacy and residency programs in New York State. Dr. Cohen is Past President of the New York State Council of Health System Pharmacists and Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of Pharmacy Practice.

New York, N.Y. – At a festive gathering at Harlem’s famed Apollo Theater last week, the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine graduated its sixth class, conferring diplomas upon 123 candidates for the doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO) degree.  The hall was packed with the graduates’ families and friends for the jubilant ceremony, at which the new doctors were reminded by their keynote speaker that medicine is changing rapidly and they must “Adapt… Adapt... New York, N.Y. – Touro College and University System President and CEO Dr. Alan Kadish today announced the appointment of Kenneth J. Steier, DO, MBA, MPH, MHA, MGH as Campus Dean for the new Middletown campus of Harlem-based Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (TouroCOM). The Middletown campus, currently under construction, is scheduled to open in August 2014 and is expected to enroll more than 500 students when fully operational.
