Central Islip, N.Y - Dr. Pan Guang, Vice Chairman and Professor of Shanghai Center for International Studies and a leading authority on the Jews of China, will deliver a lecture at the Touro Law Center entitled, “Jews in Shanghai During the Holocaust” on Monday, February 10 at 12:30 P.M. The lecture is open to the public and free of charge.

Central Islip, N.Y. - Touro Law Center is pleased to announce the creation of the International Center for Post-Graduate Development & Justice, to be headed by renowned access to justice leader Fred Rooney. The Center will serve as a national clearinghouse for the incubator and legal residency movement among law schools, as well as host an international conference on post-graduate legal education, provide training sessions for students, professors, bar leaders and members of the judiciary on how to create programs designed to increase access to justice, and offer consulting services to those interested in post-graduate legal education. In his new role, Mr. Rooney will also oversee the launch of Touro Law’s incubator, providing affordable office space as well as support and supervision for recent graduates interested in entering solo practice.

Central Islip, N.Y. - The Touro Law Center team of Brian DiPentima, second-year part-time evening student from Westbury, NY, and Brandon Maharahj, second-year full-time student from Deer Park, NY, took top honors at the annual Nassau Academy of Law Hon. Elaine Jackson Stack Moot Court Competition, held March 25-26, 2014 at the Nassau County Bar Association headquarters in Mineola. Mr. DiPentima also received the Best Oralist Award.
