Central Islip, N.Y. – Touro Law Center will host the fourth annual Religious Legal Theory Conference titled “Expanding the Conversation” from April 10 through April 12 at the Law Center. Topics will include religion and the practice of law; media perspectives on law and religion; and religion and the laws of war.
Touro Law Center will host a program to provide both individuals and small businesses assistance in hurricane recovery, on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm at the law school in Central Islip.
Central Islip, N.Y. – Touro Law Center and the University of Central Florida (UCF) are pleased to announce the creation of a three-plus-three accelerated law program. This newly established academic program will offer significant advantages to interested, qualifying students. The program will provide the opportunity to qualified UCF students to seamlessly complete a UCF Legal Studies B.A. or B.S. and a Touro Law Center J.D. degree in six rather than seven years.
New York, N.Y., Central Islip, N.Y. – Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center presented the Bruce K. Gould Book Award to United States Senator Christopher Dodd (D-Conn.) and celebrated the dedication of its Gould Law Library on March 31. The celebration included the opening of a new exhibit in the library called, "The Art of Early Printed Books: Judaica Gems and English Bibles from the Collection of Rabbi Howard R. Buechler."
