Central Islip, N.Y. – Touro Law Center and the University of Central Florida (UCF) are pleased to announce the creation of a three-plus-three accelerated law program. This newly established academic program will offer significant advantages to interested, qualifying students. The program will provide the opportunity to qualified UCF students to seamlessly complete a UCF Legal Studies B.A. or B.S. and a Touro Law Center J.D. degree in six rather than seven years.
Central Islip, N.Y. – Touro Law Center will host the fourth annual Religious Legal Theory Conference titled “Expanding the Conversation” from April 10 through April 12 at the Law Center. Topics will include religion and the practice of law; media perspectives on law and religion; and religion and the laws of war.
Touro Law Center will host a program to provide both individuals and small businesses assistance in hurricane recovery, on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm at the law school in Central Islip.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - Dean Lawrence Raful received a check in the amount of $50,000 from Senator Brian X. Foley (D – Blue Point) to create a new Foreclosure and Bankruptcy Clinic at the school. Touro Law administrators and community leaders gathered as Senator Foley announced that he had successfully secured a $50,000 grant to create the Foreclosure and Bankruptcy Law Clinic at Touro Law Center.
