The 2nd Annual Orthodox Jewish Nurses Conference, entitled At the Crossroads of Jewish Law (Halacha), Nursing, and Patient Care, was hosted by Touro College on June 12, 2014. The conference, sponsored by Sigma Theta Tau International, Alpha Phi Chapter, Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing, and The Graduate Center Doctoral Nursing Alumni Association of theCity University of New York, had a number of objectives. Key among them was to help Jewish and non-Jewish personnel in the healthcare field "to understand the influence of Orthodox Jewish law (halacha) on infertility, organ donation and end of life decision making."
