Since 2010, Touro College has increasingly placed its prelaw students at top-rated law schools. In the last three years, seven of its students have been accepted at Harvard Law School. In 2013 alone, seven students gained admission to law schools ranked in the top 21 in the country by U.S. News and World Report.

It takes conviction and a belief in what the law represents to be a public criminal defender in big cities like New York. A passion for justice and fairness was instilled in Touro College Jacob D. Fuschberg Law Center Class of 2013 graduate Ga’Kia E. Gray early on in life. Her father was a professional baseball player in the days before superstar agents and big unions, and his career suffered from subpar representation. Gray still wishes she could have been there to protect her dad’s rights, and has redirected that sense of purpose to individuals ensnared in the justice system or accused of misconduct.

Vlad Tamayeff came to Touro Law in 2011 ready to begin a career in corporate and real estate law. He stated, "I had heard that Touro Law not only provides a solid background in corporate and real estate law, but also has classes related to Jewish heritage and the teaching of [the relationship between the] Talmud and the law."

The Touro College School of Health Sciences in Bay Shore brought together senior citizens and student volunteers recently for a day of car “fitting” and fun.  The annual Occupational Therapy “CarFit” event attracted senior citizens from the Bay Shore community interested in having their cars professionally “fitted” --- making sure that when they are inside them, they are seated properly with all their mirrors aligned for optimal safety.
