New York, N.Y. - Mr. Yoel Kleinman of Jerusalem, a student of Touro College in Israel (TCI), has been awarded the inaugural Rachel and Leo Sussman Dean’s Scholarship for the spring semester of the 2008-2009 academic year. The scholarship was awarded to Mr. Kleinman in memory of the late Mr. & Mrs. Sussman, who supported many medical, academic and Jewish causes in the United States and Israel.

Some were so thin that their gaunt arms would not hold a blood pressure cuff. One man had collected so many medications that he stuffed them into two shopping bags and brought them to the camp to be sorted, identified and ultimately thrown away.
