Touro Law Announces New Longevity and Aging Law Institute Professor Marianne Artusio Named Founding Director

Central Islip, N.Y. – Touro Law Center is pleased to announce the launch of a new Longevity & Aging Law Institute. The Institute will be lead by Professor Marianne Artusio, who has been named Founding Director and Robert Cannon, Esq., who is Founding Coordinator. In addition Robert Abrams, Co-Founder and Of Counsel to Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formator, Ferraro & Einiger, LLP has been named Chair of the Institute’s Advisory Board. Touro Law students will assist in the efforts of the Institute.

Touro Law Announces International Center for Post-Graduate Development & Justice

Central Islip, N.Y. - Touro Law Center is pleased to announce the creation of the International Center for Post-Graduate Development & Justice, to be headed by renowned access to justice leader Fred Rooney. The Center will serve as a national clearinghouse for the incubator and legal residency movement among law schools, as well as host an international conference on post-graduate legal education, provide training sessions for students, professors, bar leaders and members of the judiciary on how to create programs designed to increase access to justice, and offer consulting services to those interested in post-graduate legal education. In his new role, Mr. Rooney will also oversee the launch of Touro Law’s incubator, providing affordable office space as well as support and supervision for recent graduates interested in entering solo practice.

Lander College for Men Announces Winners of Jacob Goldfinger Memorial Mathematics Contest

New York, N.Y. – Martin Rubin, a sophomore at the Salanter Akiba Riverdale Academy (SAR) in Riverdale, N.Y., won first prize at the fourth annual Jacob Goldfinger Memorial Mathematics Contest at Touro’s Lander College for Men (LCM). Rubin was the second-place winner in the 2012 competition. The contest was created to broaden and enrich Yeshiva high school students’ knowledge of mathematics and enhance their mathematical creativity.

United Way of Long Island Provides Grant for Superstorm Relief Efforts
