Central Islip, NY - Touro Law Center is proud to announce that two of its Moot Court teams advanced to the final round in the Nassau Academy of Law Hon. Elaine Jackson Stack Moot Court held on March 20, 2013, ultimately winning the competition.

This marks the second consecutive win for a Touro team in the prestigious competition. In the all-Touro final round, the team of second year, part –time evening student Ryan Quadrel and second year full-time student Laura Johnson won a narrow decision over Paul Lipsky and Pavlo Pavlatos, both second year full time students. Ryan Quadrel was also named best oralist. The teams were coached by Professor Heather Melniker as well as student coaches Keri Mahoney and Genevieve Gadaleta. “The entire Touro Law community is proud of this outstanding accomplishment by our students,” said Dean Patricia Salkin. “A lot of hard work and preparation went into this competition and our students performed really well amid difficult competition. Having two teams make the finals to compete against each other was thrilling.”
