
Transfer Credit Policy
It generally takes between two and four weeks from the day an official transcript is received until it is evaluated and the evaluation entered into your record. Credit is not posted to a new student's record until the student has registered for classes.
In general, Touro accepts credit for courses where a grade of "C" or better was earned. There is a 6-credit limit on credit granted for courses taken in technical, vocational, or professional programs not offered by Touro. There is a 10 year limit on courses in the natural sciences, computer science, business and accounting.
Touro accepts AP’s with a score of 4 or 5; please see our AP transfer policy. We accept some of the specific CLEP subject exams and none of the general CLEPS; please see our CLEP transfer policy. We also accept NYU Foreign Language Proficiency Exams, depending upon your score, and subject to limitations if you studied the foreign language in high school; please see our NYU Foreign Language Proficiency Exam transfer policy.
