Admissions
Admission Requirements
The following are required:
- A minimum of a diploma, or equivalent, from an accredited high school.
- Transfer credits for all courses except OTA courses are accepted with a grade of C or above from regionally accredited institutions or their equivalent.
- A minimum of 35 hours of volunteer service in an occupational therapy setting or multiple settings.
- Two letters of recommendation, one from a former teacher or employer and one from an Occupational Therapist from the volunteer setting.
- A completed application with essay.
- Individual interview with OTA Program faculty member and on-site essay.
- Submission of test results of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Testing (ACT) are recommended.
- International students must achieve a TOEFL score of 550 or more.
- Admissions/Placement test in both Math and English.
Students enter the Program in September (fall semester).The program includes five semesters, including summer sessions. The last four months of the program are spent in full time Fieldwork placements. This Fieldwork Level II is divided into two distinct experiences, two months each at two clinical sites. All semesters are scheduled for a minimum of 12 credit hours to allow eligibility for student financial aid.
