| Primary Responsibilities in OT Department |
Direct day to day operation of Bay Shore campus including: development of schedules for OT dept., assisting in supervision of the OT office staff, assisting in addressing faculty problems and issues, and coordinating schedules with other programs as needed, continued program evaluation, assisting in overseeing the budget, mentoring new faculty, recruiting new faculty, and over seeing admissions. Student advocate, representative of the department for special events / conferences, and as an administrator with building responsibilities for crisis situations.

| Professional Education & Experience |
Prof. Casimano holds her Bachelors and Advanced Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Florida. She was granted specialty board certification in pediatrics from AOTA in 1998. She is Neurodevelopmental trained and has attended numerous continuing education workshops. She has held the clinical role of senior therapist at a world-renowned NYC hospital and assistant clinical coordinator at a successful private practice in Long Island New York.

| Clinical and Community Practice Activities & Interests |
Prof. Casimano has been a practicing Occupational Therapist since 1990. Her clinical areas of interest include pediatric therapy and orthopedics. She has been affiliated with Touro College since 1998. Prof. Casimano is active in the Long Island chapter of the New York State Occupational Therapy Association, holding an executive position since 2000. She speaks at High School Career Days to promote the Occupational Therapy profession as well as providing lectures at clinical sites in the community.
