Koby Frances, PhD., Assistant Professor and Chairperson of Psychology yaakov.frances@touro.edu
Dr. Koby Frances is Assistant Professor and Chairperson of Psychology at Touro College South in Miami Beach. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The City University of New York, where he specialized in adult and adolescent psychodynamic psychotherapy with a variety of psychological disorders and adjustment issues. He also holds a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from New York University. He has previously taught at The City College of New York and Yeshiva University as well as at the University of Indianapolis’ Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Frances’ areas of interest include severe psychopathology, the intersection of religious and psychological development as well as issues of emerging adulthood. He has worked in a variety of clinical settings and has experience in providing psycho-educational consultation to Orthodox Jewish institutions.

Hyman Eisenstein received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Health Sciences Chicago Medical School. Dr. Eisenstein completed a Post-Doctoral Internship in Clinical Neuropsychology at West Haven Veterans Affairs/Yale University Medical School. He is currently a Diplomat of the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology. Dr. Eisenstein works as a Psychologist & Neuropsychologist in private practice, performing psychological & neuropsychological evaluations, and seeing patients in psychotherapy.

Esther Eisenstein, Ph.D., Adjunct Professor MBPHDS@aol.com
Esther Eisenstein received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She completed a full time Internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, and currently works as a Psychologist in private practice. Dr. Eisenstein performs neuropsychological evaluations of adolescents & adults, and sees patients in psychotherapy.

Rachel Lapides, M.Ed., Ed.S., Adjunct Professor

Professor Lapides earned a Master’s (M.Ed) and a Specialist (Ed.S) degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from the University of Florida. Rachel’s work and research interests include teatment of at-risk adolescent girls and issues of gender identity development. Rachel is a National Certified Counselor and is licensed in Marriage and Family Therapy. Rachel is currently working at Miami International University of Art & Design in the Student Affairs Department.

Karin Holden-Alfaro, Psy.D., Adjunct Professor

Dr. Holden-Alfaro earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University (2006). Her professional experience includes psychotherapy and assessment of adults, particularly in the areas of serious mental illness, trauma, grief/loss, and pain management. Additionally, her research has focused on care of geriatrics. Dr. Holden-Alfaro has presented at several seminars and conferences.
