Rabbi Alan G. Ciner has had a distinguished career in the pulpit rabbinate, during which time, as noted by Rabbi Nosson Sherman, general editor, Artscroll Mesorah Publications, "Rabbi Ciner played a critical role in transforming the vision of the Schottenstein Talmud into a reality." Rabbi Ciner has been a regular lecturer at The Ohio State University as well as an interactive speaker throughout the United States, highlighting the theme, "Judaism’s Response to a World of Modernity." Leslie H. Wexner, Chairman of the Wexner Heritage Foundation, has said, "Drawing upon his intellect, Rabbi Ciner is an extraordinary teacher who combines Biblical and Talmudic texts to assist people in creating a new paradigm for living."

Henry (Hillel) Abramson received his PhD in History from the University of Toronto in 1995. He is the author of several books and scholarly articles on Jewish history and thought, including A Prayer for the Government: Ukrainians and Jews in Revolutionary Times, 1917-1920 (Harvard, 1999) and Reading the Talmud: Developing Independence in Gemara Learning (Feldheim, 2006). He has held appointments at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Harvard, Cornell and Oxford Universities.

Ms. Anton Graduated from Touro College New York with a B.S in Judaic Studies with a minor in Education and went on to graduate from Adelphi University in Long Island with a M.S. in Education/Special Education. Ms. Anton practiced as a psycho-educational evaluator, lecturer and educational consultant in private practice both in New York and in South Florida. As Director of Admissions and Student Services, Ms. Anton is always available to assist with applications, tutoring services, services for students with disabilities, advising and much more.

Michael Klein earned his BA in Computer Science from Queens College (CUNY), with a minor in Hebrew literature, and is a Microsoft Certified Professional. Mike has transferred from Tech Services to Enrollment Management; he mostly handles registration and transfer credits, but is also available to help students with other issues.

Rabbi Ira Bedzow, M.A.Judaic Studies

Rabbi Bedzow received rabbinical ordination from R Zalman Nehemiah Goldberg, Av Beis Din of Jerusalem. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University, where he studied Political Theory, Economics and Jewish Studies, and a Master of Arts degree from University of Chicago, where he studied Medieval Jewish Philosophy. He has given classes both to Yeshiva and University students on the topics of Jewish Thought, Halacha, and Tanach. He is also the Director of Yeshivas Pirchei Shoshanim in Florida, whose modus operandi is to enable everyone to learn Halacha regardless of one's educational background. He is also the Director of Land Acquisition and Finance at Groupe Pacific, a real estate development organization fully diversified in land acquisition and all phases of residential, commercial, industrial and land subdivision development and marketing.

Dr. Paulette Dale is an internationally known consultant in the areas of Speech Communication/Communication Disorders and Teaching English as a Foreign Language. She has authored numerous articles in professional journals as well as textbooks for such publishers as Prentice-Hall, Pearson Education Longman, and Berlitz International.
Dr. Dale received her Ph.D. in Speech Communication/Linguistics in 1980 from the University of Florida. Her B.A. and M.S. degrees are from Queens College of the City University of New York and the University of South Florida, respectively.

Lee Williams received his Ph.D. in Romance Studies from the University of Miami in 2005 and was awarded the Barrett Prize for the best dissertation on a Latin American topic defended that calendar year. Dr. Williams has held a Fulbright Fellowship for research in Uruguay (2003) and was recently named a Harry Ransom Center Research Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin in recognition of his research on the work of the Yiddish writer and Nobel laureate Isaac Bashevis Singer. He has presented scholarly papers at several international conferences. His current research areas include Latin American Jewish Studies and Yiddish literature in translation.

Yitzchak Goluboy received a Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology from Touro College in 2006. Prior to joining the faculty of Touro College South, Prof. Goluboy worked for Touro College (New York) from 2002 until 2006 as a computer technician and adjunct lecturer, specializing in academic network support and online learning systems. A native of Uman, Ukraine, Prof. Goluboy also studied at Yeshiva Chaim Berlin in New York.

Stefanie Herron received her Ph.D. in English from the University of Delaware in 2007 with a dissertation entitled "Willa Cather’s Argument with Modernism: Unearthing Faith Amid the Ruins of War." She received her M.A. in English from Virginia Commonwealth University and her B.A. from the University of Mary Washington. Dr. Herron has taught composition and literature at each of these universities and received the Excellence in Teaching award from the University of Delaware. Her teaching experience also includes conducting poetry workshops for middle school students and working with ESL students. She has presented papers in her area of specialty, 20th-century American literature, at a number of national and international conferences. Dr. Herron is a certified Iyengar yoga instructor and, in addition to her duties in the English department, teaches yoga at TCS.

Ms. Mishali was a Teaching Assistant and a Research Editor for the law review at Touro Law Center, where she graduated cum laude and as a Faculty Fellow. In addition to several academic awards during the course of her studies, she received the American Bar Association award for Excellence in Labor and Employment Law. Recently, Ms. Mishali’s Law Note "Roper v. Simmons- The Supreme Court’s Reliance on International Law in Constitutional Decision Making" was published by the Touro Law Review. She began her career at the Immigration Law Centre and is currently an Assistant Public Defender for Broward County.

Susan Murray received her BA in Accounting from Adelphi University and her MBA from Nova Southeastern University. Her work experience as an accountant includes several years at the prestigious Wall Street investment firm Salomon Brothers and service as a criminal investigator for the Internal Revenue Service. She was an Assistant Controller for Gold Coast Savings Bank and Controller for the Law Offices of Lerner & Pearce, PA. in Fort Lauderdale. Previously, she was an Adjunct Professor at Nova Southeastern University. Ms. Murray currently maintains a private accounting practice in Deerfield Beach while also serving as an Enrolled Agent for the IRS and an Advanced ProAdvisor for QuickBooks.

Howard Rotterdam has over 35 years of experience working with students with special needs and their caregivers. He has served as a teacher, counselor, administrator, and staff developer. Mr. Rotterdam has presented at several national conferences on a variety of topics, including cooperative learning and working with students with emotional disabilities. He received a BA in History from Queens College and holds an MS in Special Education from Hofstra University.

Dr. Sacks received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2006. Dr. Sacks's research is focused on the understanding and treatment of anxiety disorders and related clinical phenomena. He has presented at numerous conferences and has authored several journal articles. Dr. Sacks has also worked clinically in individual, group, and community/milieu settings.

Hyman Eisenstein received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Health Sciences Chicago Medical School. Dr. Eisenstein completed a Post-Doctoral Internship in Clinical Neuropsychology at West Haven Veterans Affairs/Yale University Medical School. He is currently a Diplomat of the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology. Dr. Eisenstein works as a Psychologist & Neuropsychologist in private practice, performing psychological & neuropsychological evaluations, and seeing patients in psychotherapy.

She completed a full time Internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, and currently works as a Psychologist in private practice. Dr. Eisenstein performs neuropsychological evaluations of adolescents & adults, and sees patients in psychotherapy.

Professor Lapides earned a Master’s (M.Ed) and a Specialist (Ed.S) degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from the University of Florida. Rachel’s work and research interests include teatment of at-risk adolescent girls and issues of gender identity development. Rachel is a National Certified Counselor and is licensed in Marriage and Family Therapy. Rachel is currently working at Miami International University of Art & Design in the Student Affairs Department.

Dr. Holden-Alfaro earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University (2006). Her professional experience includes psychotherapy and assessment of adults, particularly in the areas of serious mental illness, trauma, grief/loss, and pain management. Additionally, her research has focused on care of geriatrics. Dr. Holden-Alfaro has presented at several seminars and conferences.
