Medical Honors Pathway

From Touro’s Lander Colleges to New York Medical College (NYMC)

Dreaming of a career in medicine? Touro’s Medical Honors Pathway provides a direct pathway to a medical education for highly qualified students out of high school. It leads to a baccalaureate degree from Touro’s Lander Colleges and a medical degree from Touro’s New York Medical College, one of the country’s largest and oldest medical schools.

Students should apply in their senior year of high school or during the post high school year of yeshiva and seminary studies for the program. Once accepted to Lander College and the Medical Honors Pathway, you will be conditionally admitted to Touro’s New York Medical College School of Medicine and the opportunity to complete a medical degree in eight years (seven years if you’ve spent a year in Israel), provided you meet the curriculum, activities and medical school matriculation requirements while enrolled at Lander College.

You’ll be mentored throughout your education by Lander College and New York Medical College faculty and staff. Additionally, you’ll be offered counseling, assistance with MCAT preparation and clinical or research opportunities at New York Medical College during your undergraduate years.
