Physical Therapy (DPT)

Our Accelerated Health Sciences Track in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, and Doctor of Pharmacy allow for qualified students to finish their professional degree faster and at a lower cost by transferring into the graduate programs directly from Touro’s Lander Colleges prior to the completion of a bachelor’s degree.

The Integrated Honors Track programs in Health Sciences, Osteopathic Medicine, and Pharmacy offer highly focused and challenging curricula for students set on a career in these fields. Graduates of our honors tracks receive priority admission to Touro’s related graduate and professional programs.

Physical therapists (PT) are movement experts who improve quality of life through prescribed exercise, hands-on care, and patient education. Physical therapists are an important part of preventive care, rehabilitation, and treatment for patients with chronic conditions, illnesses, or injuries.

PTs work with people of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, and in a variety of settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and school settings. They help people rehabilitate from devastating injuries, manage chronic conditions, and return to their sport or occupation

We train physical therapists who are as compassionate as they are capable. Explore our program and learn how, in three years, you can become a highly skilled, sought-after Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) who provides hands-on patient care and specializes in movement and movement dysfunction. Our curriculum combines academic and clinical coursework so that each semester, students learn in the classroom and then apply the new skills they’ve gained immediately after with a clinical experience.

The DPT program is a dual degree program that leads to a B.S. in Health Sciences and DPT degree.

Once you complete your training, there is a wide range of opportunities available to you, including clinical practice in acute care, skilled nursing facilities, pediatric specialty clinics, sports and orthopedic clinics, research, and entrepreneurship.

Detailed requirements can be found on the DPT program page.
