TOUROCOM

Touro College opened in 1971 with its first class of 35 students. Currently, there are multiple locations in the New York metropolitan area as well as additional divisions in Nevada, California, Florida, and overseas in Moscow, Berlin, and Jerusalem. Touro's enrollment currently exceeds 17,500 students. The growth of undergraduate, graduate and professional programs in the College has few parallels in American higher education, and now includes a major new component: a Touro medical campus in Manhattan's historic and vibrant Harlem neighborhood.

Despite its ever-increasing size and scope, the College's commitment to personal attention, research, and academic excellence that characterized its early years has not diminished. It remains at the center of Touro's institutional mission Touro seeks to make higher education possible for promising students who wish to make the world a better place. In its search for qualified candidates, Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine (TOUROCOM) intends to make a special effort to identify and attract local students who will make a commitment to remain in the community, providing medical care to the population of Harlem.
