Pharmacology for Medical Students
| Course Description | The Summer Course in Medical Pharmacology at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine is a complete Pharmacology course which is intended to serve professional degree candidates. It is taught by the Pharmacology Faculty in the Medical College facility, using the same course materials and examinations as are used in the primary course. Topics include General Principles, Autonomics, Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Gastrointestinal, Endocrine, Inflammation, Immunosuppression, Antimicrobials, Cancer Chemotherapy, Hematology, Lipids, Psychopharmacology, Neuromuscular, Neuropharmacology and Toxicology. All course materials will be available to students at the course start and course concepts will be presented in lecture, discussion and review sessions. Each topic block will conclude with a quiz and quiz review (9 quizzes) and each week of study will be concluded with a major examination and exam review (5 examinations). |

| Prerequisites | Applicants should currently be enrolled in a Medical School (Osteopathic/Allopathic), Dental, Optometry, Pharmacy, or Podiatry School, or be a student in a graduate program. Students must submit the following: 1) a completed application for the Summer Program at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, 2) A transcript from current program, 3) a signature of approval from current course director, department chair or dean of students on the application form 4) a $50 application fee. |

| Application Deadlines | Application Deadline: June 15, 2010. A non-refundable processing fee of $50.00 must accompany the application. Full payment of tuition and the course fee is due before enrollment. |
