New Integrated School of Business Launches at Touro University

Veteran Business School Leader Dr. Lawrence G. Singleton Named Founding Dean

NEW YORK, NY – Touro University President Dr. Alan Kadish today announced the launch of a new integrated School of Business, bridging the University’s undergraduate and graduate business programming, and named Dr. Lawrence G. Singleton, a veteran business school leader with a record of innovation and growth at top-tier institutions, as its founding dean.

“Dr. Singleton is a distinguished academic leader, accomplished scholar and experienced strategist who brings a record of innovation, transformative growth and impact across leading institutions,” said Dr. Kadish. “He is expert at aligning business education with the evolving demands of the global economy, and we know he will prepare our students to succeed in the modern workplace.”

Most recently, Dr. Singleton served as dean of the Lubin School of Business at Pace University, where he led a community of 3,500 students and 85 full-time faculty. Prior to Pace, he served as dean of the School of Management at Marist College and held leadership roles at The George Washington University School of Business.

Beyond academia, Dr. Singleton worked in the audit and National SEC Practice groups of Ernst & Young and consulted for many of the world’s leading companies and organizations, including Cisco Systems, Inc., NASDAQ Stock Market, Roche, Siemens Corporation, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and The World Bank. He is also active in AACSB and EFMD, the leading worldwide business school accrediting bodies, and serves on AACSB accreditation peer review teams.

Dr. Singleton holds a PhD, MS and BS in Accounting from Louisiana State University and is a certified public accountant and chartered global management accountant.

Dr. Singleton will also lead the effort for the new Touro University School of Business to achieve AACSB accreditation, the global gold standard for business education.
