Program
The program runs from July 26 to August 5, 2021.
Touro’s distinguished faculty, Israel Singer, Ph.D., and Dean Stanley Boylan, Ph.D., lead this once in a lifetime adventure. Sign up for an “off the beaten path” experience exploring sites that will be unique even for the most seasoned travelers!
Your mornings will include engaging discussions about the ancient and modern history of Israel while the afternoons will feature exciting excursions in the company of knowledgeable guides.
Your time will be split between Jerusalem and surrounding areas and the north of Israel. The itinerary will include visits to
- Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum
- Herodian
- Kfar Etzion
- Har Amasa
- Emek Tzurim
- Shiloh
- Acre
- Ghetto Fighters Museum
- Tzipori
- Safed
- Tiberias
- the Peres Center
- and more!
Accommodations & Shabbat
The trip includes accommodation in 4–5-star hotels, meals, and entrance fees. Triple rooms have been allocated to us and a change in room type will require your payment for an upgrade.
Shabbat (From Friday afternoon to Sunday morning 9 AM) is designated “free play” for participants to spend at their leisure with friends family or others. If you require a Shabbat stay recommendation, please inform us.
Cost
The total cost of the program is $2200 (student scholarships are available.)
There is a non-refundable $500 registration fee to reserve a spot in the program. This fee must be paid by June 15.
The $1700 remainder must be paid in full by July 11th, 2021.
Cancellation policy
Touro reserves the right to cancel the program and refund participants to issues related to any force majeure, including but not limited to, hostilities, civil strife, Covid-19 or any other pandemic, instability, war, mandate, or practice that could prevent participants to enter Israel or achieve the full vision of the planned experience.
Current conditions, travel, and otherwise apply:
- Each Participant must sign a Waiver of Liability (Covid and otherwise.)
- Participant must purchase their own flight to Israel
- Full refunds can be requested up to 30 days before the trip
- Programs and courses are subject to change

About the Faculty
- Israel Singer, Ph.D. is vice president of international affairs at Touro College and a professor of contemporary Jewry.
- Dean Stanley Boylan, Ph.D. is a vice president of undergraduate education and dean of faculties at Touro College.
