Program
The program will run from July 8th to the 18th, 2024.
Touro’s distinguished leadership and faculty, Alan Kadish, M.D., Dana Fishkin, Ph.D., Simcha Fishbane, Ph.D., Israel Singer, Ph.D., Karen Sutton, Ph.D., Dean Stanley Boylan, Ph.D., Rima Aranha, Ph.D. and Michael Newman Esq. will lead this adventure.
Your day will include engaging and stimulating discussions focusing on Italian Jewish history, political theory, breathtaking architecture, and art, with exciting excursions and activities in the company of our own expert guide, Dr. Fishkin.
Our itinerary is scheduled to include Milan, Padua, Venice, Trieste, Florence, Leghorn, and Pisa.
The trip is currently scheduled to include a visit to a Kosher winery, a boat ride, museums and spiritual excursions of the resting place of several Jewish sages.
Accommodations
This learning adventure includes accommodation in 4–5-star hotels, meals and entrance fees.
Cost
The total cost of the program is $4,000 (however Touro students need only pay the discounted price of $3,500). Early bird registration by March 30th, 2024 will lower the base price to $3,800 and for students to $3,300.
Participants may pay in up to four installments. The program cost does not include airfare.
A non-refundable $500 deposit (no exceptions) is required to reserve a spot in the program.
The full cost must be paid by May 10th, 2024.

About the Faculty
- Alan Kadish, M.D. is President of Touro University
- Israel Singer, Ph.D. is Vice President of International Affairs at Touro University and a professor of contemporary Jewry.
- Dean Stanley Boylan, Ph.D. is a Vice President of Undergraduate Education and Dean of Faculties at Touro University.
- Dana Fishkin, Ph.D. is Chair of Humanities at Touro's Lander College for Women.
- Michael Newman, J.D., M.A., Senior Vice President at Touro University.
- Mrs. Esther Boylan, M.A., instructor, and mentor at Lander College for Women.
- Karen Sutton, Ph.D. is assistant professor at Touro's Lander College for Women and director of the honors program.

Requirements
Current conditions, travel requirements, and otherwise are as follows:
- Each Participant must sign a Waiver of Liability (Covid and otherwise) and adhere to Touro’s Code of Conduct.
- Participant must purchase their own flight to and from Milan.
- Full refunds can be requested up to 90 days before the trip (but all registration fees are non-refundable).
- Travel requirements according to the regulations of Italian Law.

Touro does not own or provide all of the services, facilities or travel arrangements included in this program. Aside from academic programing, these are provided by third parties. If you have a medical condition or mobility issues, please let us know before making a deposit so that engage in an interactive dialogue. All itineraries are subject to availability. Touro reserves the right to modify, amend, postpone or cancel the program – or any part thereof - and refund participants to issues related to any force majeure, including but not limited to, serious security problems such as terrorism, hostilities, instability, war significant risks to human health such as the outbreak of a serious disease at the travel destination (including but not limited to pandemics and epidemics), acts, announcements, mandates guidance, decrees or orders by governments or local authorities or natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, weather conditions which make it impossible to travel safely to the destination or achieve the full vision of the planned experience and other events such as strikes, civil strife or high/low water levels. hostilities, civil strife, Covid-19 or any other pandemic, instability, war, mandate, or practice that could prevent participants to enter Italy or achieve the full vision of the planned experience. The limit of Touro’s liability in any such event will be to refund amounts previously made.
